Minerals North brings the mineral industry and local communities together every spring. The conference rotates among the communities across northern BC. The conference educates communities about mining and exploration, and builds working relationships between the minerals industry and local businesses, contractors and First Nations. Dozens of companies present their plans for the coming mineral exploration season.
Following on the heels of the 20th anniversary conference held in Smithers in April 2008, Fort St. James will host Minerals North 2009 from April 20 to the 24th, with the reception Tuesday night 21st, the conference and trade show Wednesday and Thursday, the banquet Wednesday night and events on Monday and Friday.
